This is a joint USGS and Army Corps of Engineers 7.5-minute topographic sheet, a 1953 edition printed in 1959, in good condition; it was lightly handled, never folded, and printed on thick stock with a flawless map area. Covering an eight-by-nine-mile stretch of Bexar County northeast of San Antonio, the quad area takes in Windcrest, Hollywood Park, and Hill Country Village. Surveyed from 1952 and 1953 aerial and field work, it captures the area before the current suburban buildout, when it was primarily woods and fields, recording the original overland routes, rail lines, and structures of the time.
