This USGS 15-minute topographic sheet carries a 1901 edition, surveyed that year under geographer H.M. Wilson, and was printed in 1958; the sheet is in very good condition, lightly handled and never folded. It takes in a stretch of the Ohio River valley northwest of Pittsburgh, with the quad area covering Beaver, Aliquippa, Monaca, Rochester, New Brighton, and Beaver Falls, along with smaller communities like Shippingport and Georgetown. Based on the 1901 field survey, it shows the river corridor from Monaca down to Georgetown before the modern highway system, capturing the travel routes, rail lines, and structures of that era.
