This USGS 7.5-minute topographic map is a 1960 edition carrying photorevisions through 1970, printed in 1971 on thick stock and in excellent condition, very lightly handled and never folded. It takes in the Lake Erie shoreline town of Conneaut in the far northeast corner of Ohio, where the quad crosses into Pennsylvania, along with the community of Hatch Corners in Ashtabula County. The map catches the harbor town at the end of the 1960s, a working port on the lake at the state line, with the flawless map area making it a good candidate for framing.

This vintage sheet is a 1960 edition of the Conneaut Ohio USGS topographic map revised in 1970 using aerial photography. It is an original 55-year-old 1971 United States Geological Survey print in excellent condition.

A VALUABLE HISTORICAL RECORD
This map is from the 7.5-minute series, the most detailed series that is widely available from the USGS. The 1960 Conneaut map is a valuable historical record for the area. It contains some placenames and features that have been dropped from more recent maps.

The map was photorevised in 1970. Any features that changed or were added between the original edition year of 1960 and the photorevision year of 1970 are overlayed in purple. The purple overlay provides an excellent view of the fast-growing and changing areas within the quad boundary.
