A 1904 edition printed in 1912, this USGS 15-minute topographic sheet is in very good condition, having been kept flat and never folded on thick stock with only light age-toning. The quad straddles the Ohio–West Virginia line along the Ohio River, taking in Parkersburg and Vienna on the West Virginia side and Marietta, Belpre, Blennerhassett, and Devola across in Ohio, with Watertown among the communities within its boundaries. Surveyed in 1902 by H.M. Wilson and engraved in 1904, the sheet records the region’s historic travel routes and rail lines as they ran before the modern highway system took shape. The reverse carries printed USGS reference material from the time of the 1912 printing.
