This USGS 15-minute topographic map is a 1956 edition printed in 1962, and the sheet is in excellent condition, never folded and very lightly handled with a flawless map area. Its coverage straddles the California-Oregon line about 50 miles southwest of Medford, taking in Preston Peak and portions of the Siskiyou Wilderness along with parts of the Six Rivers, Klamath, and Siskiyou national forests across Del Norte, Josephine, and Siskiyou counties. This is rugged, high country in the Klamath-Siskiyou mountains, with the 80-foot contour interval reflecting the steep terrain the map depicts. Because the sheet was never folded, it lies flat and would frame well.
