Richardson Springs California Chico Nord USGS Topo Map 1966
$38
This USGS 15-minute topographic map is a 1952 edition printed in 1966, in good condition on thick stock, lightly handled with foldlines and a library stamp in the bottom collar. Set in the vicinity of Chico in northern California, the quad area spans parts of Butte, Glenn, and Tehama counties and includes the city of Chico and the community of Nord within its boundaries. The 40-foot contour interval traces the transition from the Sacramento Valley floor toward the foothills east of town, terrain familiar to anyone who knows the Chico area. From the vintage map collection of Richard Dahlke of Santa Barbara, California.

All known structures (houses, businesses, churches, schools, barns, cabins, etc) are also shown.
A VALUABLE HISTORICAL RECORD
Maps from the 15-minute series for the continental United States are no longer produced or printed by the USGS and original prints are becoming increasingly difficult to find. They are a valuable historical record for an area, as they contain many placenames and features that have been dropped from more recent maps.
