This USGS 15-minute topographic map is a 1946 edition, printed in 1954, in good condition on thick stock with a midsheet horizontal foldline where it was folded in half. Based on a 1946 field survey, it takes in a stretch of the San Joaquin Valley southeast of Fresno, with Selma, Sanger, Parlier, Kingsburg, and Fowler falling within the quad boundaries across Fresno and Tulare counties. The 10-foot contour interval reflects the flat farmland of this part of the valley, long a center of raisin and tree-fruit growing, and the map area itself carries no markings or blemishes.
