This USGS 15-minute topographic map is a 1961 edition printed in 1972, and the sheet is in excellent condition: never folded, very lightly handled, and smooth and flat on thick stock, with a flawless map area and a clean collar. Covering roughly 14 by 17 miles at a scale of 1:62500, the quad takes in the eastern Arizona towns of Show Low and Pinetop-Lakeside across Gila and Navajo counties, along with portions of the Sitgreaves National Forest and the Fort Apache Indian Reservation. It records the timber and high-country lake country of the Mogollon Rim region as it stood in the early 1960s, and comes from the vintage map collection of Art Christiansen of Tempe, Arizona.
