This USGS 15-minute topographic map is a 1955 edition printed in 1974, an excellent sheet that was lightly handled and never folded, on thick stock. It takes in the juniper forests and plains of Apache County in eastern Arizona, roughly 15 miles northwest of Saint Johns, in the country between the Petrified Forest and Concho. The 40-foot contours trace historic travel routes and placenames across the high plains, and the flawless map area comes from the vintage collection of Art Christiansen of Tempe, Arizona.
