This USGS 15-minute topographic map is a 1962 edition printed in 1974, and the sheet is in excellent condition, lightly handled and never folded on thick stock. Covering a stretch of the Grand Canyon along the remote Arizona Strip in northern Arizona, the quad takes in part of Grand Canyon National Park in country cut by side canyons and steep terrain, with the 80-foot contour interval registering the depth of the landscape. Named for Tuckup Canyon, one of the tributary drainages feeding the main gorge, this sheet comes from the vintage map collection of Art Christiansen of Tempe, Arizona, and the flawless map area and clean collar make it a strong candidate for framing.
