Printed in its year of first publication, 1942, this USGS 7.5-minute topographic sheet is in excellent condition, never folded and only very lightly handled, on thick stock. Drawn from a 1939 and 1940 field survey by geographer A.J. Haskin, it takes in a stretch of the plains east of Denver within Adams and Denver counties, an area that has since become the site of Denver International Airport and the Green Valley Ranch neighborhood. As one of the earliest vintages of the detailed 7.5-minute series, the map shows this ground at a 1:31,680 scale with 10-foot contours, decades before that development arrived. The map area is flawless and the collar carries only very minor edge wear along the bottom, making it well suited to framing.
