This USGS 15-minute topographic sheet is a 1962 edition, printed in 1983, and its condition is excellent: never folded, smooth and flat, with a flawless map area and a collar free of wear, tears, or markings. Drawn at 1:62,500 with a 40-foot contour interval, the quad takes in Bill Williams Mountain and the town of Williams in Coconino County, roughly 25 miles west of Flagstaff, along with Parks and portions of the Kaibab and Prescott National Forests and the Sycamore Canyon Wilderness. The named summit gives the sheet its focus, rising from the pine country of northern Arizona, and the map is printed on thick stock and comes from the vintage collection of Art Christiansen of Tempe, Arizona. Its clean, flat condition makes it well suited to framing.
