This USGS 15-minute topographic map is a 1907 edition printed in 1956, in good condition on thick stock and never folded, with a library stamp in the center-right collar. Covering an area about 25 miles northeast of Pittsburgh, the quad takes in Plum, New Kensington, Lower Burrell, and Tarentum, spanning parts of Allegheny, Armstrong, Butler, and Westmoreland counties along the Allegheny River. The 1907 base captures the industrial towns of the lower Allegheny valley as they stood in the early twentieth century, a stretch known for its river-town mills and glassworks. The map area itself shows no wear, no markings, and no blemishes.
