Printed in its year of first publication, 1929, this USGS 15-minute topographic sheet is in very good condition, lightly handled and never folded, with a flawless map area and only a couple of very minor edge tears in the collar. It takes in the country around Owosso in central Michigan, roughly 65 miles northwest of Detroit, with Corunna, Durand, Perry, and Morrice among the communities within the quad’s boundaries across Shiawassee, Ingham, and Livingston counties. Drawn from a 1926 field survey under geographer W.B. Upton, Jr., this antique sheet shows the Owosso area as it stood at the close of the 1920s, and the reverse carries printed USGS reference material.
