This USGS 7.5-minute topographic sheet is a 1960 edition printed in 1962, in very good condition on thick stock, lightly handled and never folded. Covering a stretch of the Pennsylvania ridge-and-valley country about 19 miles north of State College, the quad spans parts of Centre and Clinton counties and takes in Orviston and Beech Creek. Its 20-foot contours trace the steep terrain along Beech Creek in detail, and because the sheet was never folded and shows a flawless map area, it lies flat and clean.
