Printed in its year of first publication, 1946, this USGS 15-minute topographic sheet is in excellent condition, having been lightly handled and never folded on thick stock. The quad straddles the Idaho-Washington line along the Snake River about 20 miles south of Lewiston, taking in parts of Asotin and Nez Perce counties and a portion of the Nez Perce Indian Reservation; notably, the Idaho side of the Snake was left unsurveyed on this sheet. Drawn from a 1944 aerial and field survey, the map shows the canyon country at 50-foot contours, and its flawless map area and never-folded condition make it a strong candidate for framing.

At the bottom of the page is a legend showing all of the symbols used to represent the cultural, relief, and water features found on the map.

This vintage sheet is a 1946 edition of the Limekiln Rapids Idaho USGS topographic map. It is an original 80-year-old United States Geological Survey print in excellent condition.
