Printed in 1917, its first year of publication, this USGS 15-minute topographic sheet is in very good condition on thick stock, a lightly handled, never-folded sheet that has toned attractively with time. Covering ground about 55 miles southwest of Columbus, the quad area takes in Sabina, Leesburg, and New Vienna across parts of Clinton, Fayette, and Highland counties in southwestern Ohio. Drawn from a 1914 field survey and engraved in 1916, it records the farm towns and rural roads of this stretch of Ohio as they stood a century ago, and the reverse carries printed reference material on reading the map.

All known structures (houses, businesses, churches, schools, barns, cabins, etc) are also shown, with exceptions in some urban areas, where only landmark buildings may be shown.

Maps from the 15-minute series for the continental United States are no longer produced or printed by the USGS and original prints are becoming increasingly difficult to find.
