This USGS 7.5-minute topographic map is a 1954 edition, printed in 1965 with photorevisions dated 1953 and 1954, and the sheet is in very good condition – lightly handled and never folded, on thick stock. Covering roughly seven by nine miles about 30 miles southwest of New York, the quad takes in New Brunswick, Edison, East Brunswick, and Spotswood, spanning parts of Middlesex and Somerset counties. The mid-century detail here captures central New Jersey’s densely built river-and-rail corridor along the Raritan, with the many towns and communities packed into this stretch each drawn at the fine 1:24,000 scale. Note that there are hole punches in the left collar.

This vintage sheet is a 1954 edition of the New Brunswick New Jersey USGS topographic map revised in 1953 and 1954 using aerial photography. It is an original 61-year-old 1965 United States Geological Survey print in very good condition.
