This USGS 15-minute topographic map is a 1950 edition printed in 1969, a never-folded sheet in excellent condition on thick stock. Its coverage straddles the Colorado-Kansas state line about 25 miles north of Burlington, taking in Bonny Reservoir and the community of Hale across parts of Cheyenne, Kit Carson, Sherman, and Yuma counties. The reservoir that gives the quad its name is the defining feature here, a body of water set into the dry high plains along the Republican River drainage. The map area is flawless, with only minor edge wear along the left collar and an inventory stamp on the bottom collar.
