Inglewood California Los Angeles Torrance USGS Topo Map 1965

$48

This USGS 7.5-minute topographic map is a 1964 edition printed in 1965, in very good condition on thick stock, lightly handled and never folded with a flawless map area. Set in the vicinity of Los Angeles, the quad takes in Inglewood along with Torrance, Compton, Carson, and surrounding communities such as Del Aire, West Athens, Ladera Heights, Windsor Hills, and View Park. Drawn at a 1:24,000 scale with a tight 5-foot contour interval, it records the dense street grid and gentle terrain of the Los Angeles basin in fine detail, at a moment when the postwar city had spread across these communities. The collar shows very minor wear and a small checkmark at the map title in the lower right corner, and the reverse of the sheet carries printed reference material.
