This USGS 15-minute topographic map is a 1920 edition, printed in 1964, and the sheet is in very good condition – lightly handled and never folded, on thick stock with edge protectors applied and a library stamp in the right collar. Mapped at 1:62,500 with 20-foot contours, the quad straddles the Pennsylvania-New York line along the Delaware River in the vicinity of Honesdale, taking in Wayne, Pike, and Sullivan counties and including Narrowsburg and Beach Lake within its boundaries. The base reflects a 1920 field survey credited to geographer C.H. Birdseye, capturing the wooded ridges and river country of the upper Delaware valley as it was recorded in that era.
