This USGS 15-minute topographic map is a 1953 edition printed in 1964, on thick stock, in excellent condition – very lightly handled, never folded, and smooth and flat, with a flawless map area. Spanning the Utah-Arizona line roughly 25 miles northeast of Page, it takes in Cummings Mesa and portions of the Navajo Indian Reservation and the Fifty Mile Mountain Wilderness Study Area, with Kaiparowits country to the west. Because the survey work predates the filling of Lake Powell, the sheet shows the Colorado River still running free through Glen Canyon – a view of the landscape that no longer exists.
