This USGS 7.5-minute topographic sheet is a 1951 edition printed in 1956, on thick stock and in very good condition, moderately handled but never folded with a flawless map area. Covering part of Contra Costa and Solano counties along Suisun Bay northeast of Concord, the quad takes in Martinez, Benicia, Bay Point, and the smaller communities of Clyde, Vine Hill, and Maltby. The map carries bathymetric depths across Suisun Bay, a detail that ties the shoreline towns to the shipping channels that defined this stretch of the Carquinez region.
